At Boys & Girls Clubs, our members are our HIGHEST priority. It is reflected in our mission: To enable all young people, especially those who need us most, to reach their full potential as productive, caring, responsible citizens.
Our members are literally the reason that we exist. That is why it is *so important* that we listen to them! (And not just fake listen. Like actually for real listen and then act on what they tell us.)
Over the next few weeks here on the ClubX Blog, we will have a series of posts called Let’s Talk Data! where we dive a little more into one of our main listening tools, the National Youth Outcomes Initiative, or NYOI. We will also give you some ideas for other ways to gather member feedback that you can do on a more regular basis. But before we do that, I wanted us to pause for a moment and just reflect on the incredible opportunity we have as youth development professionals to make a lasting impact on our members. It is such a joy and a privilege to be a part of their lives.
We recently created a video that you can share with your staff or board or volunteers or ANYONE that really highlights the importance of the Club and specifically of Club staff in creating a high quality Club Experience. I love this video so much. So so much. I tear up every time I watch it. Ok, let me just get out of the way here so you can love it too.
