If there was an official holiday of the ClubX Blog, it would be Halloween. We LOVE an excuse to have ridiculous, over-the-top fun. And then adding candy??? And COSTUMES??? It’s perfect.
We’ve posted Halloween ideas before, but today I’ll be sharing some themed STEAM activities and projects that can extend the fun over several days of programming.
These Bat Straw Rockets are super cute, and I love the ideas for extending the learning at the end, like measuring where they land. And definitely read Stellaluna!
We know everyone loves making slime, but this one bubbles like a cauldron!
If you have circuits, using them to make spiders with light up eyes is cuuuuuuute.
This Skeleton Bridge Challenge would work as a group activity for upper elementary/middle school.
This 3D Paper Craft is also perfect for older youth or teens.
This ClubX post from a few weeks ago includes two candy corn engineering activities!
Y’all know I avoid posting paid links BUT we also all know how much kids ABSOLUTELY LOVE flipping bottles lol. Harness it for good! The activity here is $3 from Teachers Pay Teachers.
There aren’t super clear instructions, but if you are incorporating Dia de los Muertos into your seasonal planning, these sugar skeleton paper puppets are gorgeous! You can also find more Dia de los Muertos themed activities based on Disney’s Coco in this ClubX Blog post.
